What is Trading volume?
The value traded over a period, usually 24 hours; a measure of interest and turnover.
Volume tells you how much actually changed hands. High volume with a flat price means disagreement; a large move on thin volume is easier to reverse.
It is also a sanity check on market cap: a coin with a big cap and almost no volume is either barely tradable or mispriced by the data source.
