Tokens

What is Vesting?

A schedule that releases tokens to a team or investor over time instead of at once.

Vesting aligns incentives by delaying how much a team can sell. Cliffs and linear release are the usual patterns, and the schedule is normally published.

Unlocks are known events. Whether they matter depends on size relative to daily volume — a large unlock into a thin book is a supply shock.

  • Price times max supply: what the coin would be worth if every token existed.

  • PresaleTokens

Selling a token before it lists publicly, usually to raise money for a project.

  • The rate at which prices rise, and the reason 'hard-capped supply' is a selling point.
