What is On-chain data?
Facts recorded directly by a blockchain: transfers, balances, contract state.
On-chain data cannot be hidden or backdated, which makes it the most trustworthy category of crypto information. It is also narrow: it says nothing about intent or off-chain assets.
It is a different thing from exchange data, which is off-chain and can be wash-traded.
